Kirsten Strieck – JVSA

Entrepreneur's Playbook | Episode: 662 | Guests: Kirsten Strieck | 0
Russ visits with Kirsten Strieck, shareholder and director of operations and client services at Joint Venture Strategic Advisors. Kirsten explains the scope of joint ventures and how JVSA’s specialized services can help.

Russ: The is the PKF Texas Entrepreneur’s Playbook. I’m Russ Capper, this week’s guest host, and I’m here with Kirsten Strieck, a shareholder and Director of Operations & Client Services at Joint Venture Strategic Advisors. Welcome to the Playbook, Kirsten.

Kirsten: Thank you, Russ.

Russ: You bet.  Tell us about Strategic Advisors.

Kirsten: We are a specialty joint venture consulting firm that provides any joint venture services to the energy industry, but also to other industries that have an agreement and partners.

Russ: Ok, so when you’re talking about joint ventures you’re talking about mergers and, sometimes, I guess, acquisitions? Or is it just mergers?

Kirsten: Joint ventures are when you have partners and an agreement together. We provide services that relate to all those joint ventures with those specific agreements. So, there’s mergers, acquisitions, there’s just your regular day to day joint operating agreement that we like to go in and audit for our partners.

Russ: Ok, so it sounds fairly specialized. I mean, so, is that right?

Kirsten: That is right. Not very many firms do this type of work and it’s specialized to whatever the agreements say between your partners, and if you have any issues, we can help you out with that.

Russ: So, you show up not really knowing what the joint venture is all about, but you read it, you study it, you get the right picture, and then help them out from there.

Kirsten: Absolutely, and that can be in any facet.

Russ: How long have you been doing this?

Kirsten: Our firm has been doing joint venture services for over 35 years, and I’ve been in the industry now for 11 years.

Russ: Ok. Well, thank you very much. Very interesting.

Kirsten: Thank you.

Russ: You bet. For more about JVSA, visit jvsa.com. This has been another Thought Leader Production brought to you by PKF Texas Entrepreneur’s Playbook. Tune in next week for another chapter.
