We’ve been talking about the Birkman profile examination we use in our workplace for training, for putting teams together, conflict resolution, that sort of thing. And we’ve been going through the 11 components that we measure in Birkman; today we’re going to talk about thought and that’s one of the 11 components that deals with our decision making process – how we go through the process of making a decision. Someone with a low thought score may well be able to make quicker decisions – make quick decisions based on less information. They go through information quickly, they’re not as concerned about making a wrong decision whereas someone with a high thought score may be a little bit more hesitant to make a quick decision, may need a little more information, may need more time to go through the information to make a decision.
Again, not good or bad, not right or wrong, it’s just the way we’re hard-wired. And so certainly someone with a high thought score that’s making a difficult decision is going to take a lot more time. And so a good thing to know when we’re hiring people and we’re putting them on teams and how they’re going to interact with their teammates.
