Women Mean Business | Episode: 575 | Guests: Kim Evans | 0
Self-awareness, alignment and commitment can be your best friends—extraordinary advice from an extraordinary woman. Leisa Holland-Nelson visits with Kim Evans, co-founder and CEO of Seremedi, Inc.

Leisa: Hello, I’m Leisa Holland Nelson and welcome to another edition of Women Mean Business, where we’re going to take you up close and personal with extraordinary women doing extraordinary things. My guest today is Kim Evans, Founder and CEO of Seremedi; Kim, welcome to Women Mean Business.

Kim: It’s great to be here.

Leisa: You are so successful and have been so successful across many different lines of businesses for many different companies, I know we have a lot of young listeners today and I would love for you to share with them your best advice for getting where you got.

Kim: I would say three words that have been my guiding words as I think about success first of all I think the most important thing is being self-aware; being totally aware of who you are and who you are not, what you are good at, what you fall short at. Just really be clear about likes and dislikes and that just really provides clarity, it allows you the chart that course forward, avoid a lot of pitfalls and that wastes a lot of time. The second thing is alignment; once you are clear on what you are good at and what you are not align yourself in the right environment with the right people and the right situations. And then third is a commitment; just a commitment to self, to well-being, a commitment to your loved ones and dear friends that are important to you and who you are important to as well, as well as commitment to your personal goals and your career goals. And I think with being guided by those 3 words and honoring that and acting on that you really cannot go wrong.

Leisa: Thank you so much. There you have it, extraordinary advice from an extraordinary woman. I’m Leisa Holland Nelson, President and Co-founder of ContentActive, Houston’s leading web and mobile technology company. You can find me at ContactActive.com or follow me on Twitter @LHNelson.
