Women Mean Business – Lidya Osadchey

Women Mean Business | Episode: 538 | Guests: Lidya Osadchey | 0
Is it possible to grow a company while decreasing operating costs? Yes! Leisa Holland-Nelson visits with Lidya Osadchey, CEO of Escape Family Resource Center.

Leisa: Hello, I’m Leisa Holland Nelson and welcome to another edition of Women Mean Business where we’re going to take you up close and personal with extraordinary women doing extraordinary things. My guest today is Lidya Osadchey.

Lidya: Wonderful, yes thank you.

Leisa: From Escape Family Resource Center; Lidya, welcome to Women Mean Business.

Lidya: Thank you very much Leisa for this invitation.

Leisa: I’m really glad you’re here because I want to learn more about Escape, I really don’t know what you do or the background or anything so please share with us.

Lidya: With pleasure. Escape Family Resource Center has been around for 32 years and since its founding it has never diverted from its mission: educating families in crisis to prevent child abuse and neglect before a child is hurt, therefore it makes our organization and our mission extremely unique. While my colleagues – most of my colleagues work on very important projects of helping children who’ve been violated and traumatized, we are the only organization that’s working with parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, separated families, immigrant families all to prevent the trauma and prevent the violence against the children in their homes and schools. So this has been our mission and I’ve been with Escape for 15 ½ years and since then we have grown nearly 3,000%.

Leisa: Wow.

Lidya: So our business model has changed and allowed us to grow tremendously while decreasing our administrative costs. I’m sure you want to hear that, it doesn’t usually happen. Usually it’s the other way around, right?

Leisa: Wow, that’s just amazing. Thank you so much for sharing with us. There you have it, another extraordinary woman doing extraordinary things. I’m Leisa Holland Nelson, President and Co-founder of ContentActive, Houston’s leading web and mobile design and development company. You can find me at ContentActive.com or follow me on Twitter @LHNelson. We’ll be back again next week with another edition of Women Mean Business.
