My guest today is Maria Moncada Alaoui, the General Manager and Developer Operator for BMW of West Houston. Maria, welcome to Women Mean Business.

Maria: Thank you Leisa, thanks for having me.

Maria: You’ve achieved extraordinary success as one – maybe the only – but definitely the of the very few women General Manager Dealer Operators for BMW probably in the world. Imagine we have a young business woman here with us today, what advice would you give her to achieve the success similar to yours.

Maria: I would say one of the main things that has helped me is surrounding myself with people that first can set a good example for me but that believe in my goals and what I’m trying to do. I’ve been fortunate to find a lot of mentors throughout my journey and learn from them. A lot of times people wait to see what’s in it for me, what am I going to get paid? Invest your time, always say yes if there’s an opportunity to learn just embrace it, take it and learn as much as you can; the money will come.
