Leisa: Hello, I’m Leisa Holland-Nelson, and welcome to another edition of Women Mean Business where we’re going to take you up close and personal with extraordinary women doing extraordinary things. My guest today is Sallie Sargent, CEO and president of Houston’s Super Bowl LI. Sallie welcome to Women Mean Business.
Sallie: Thank you Leisa.
Leisa: I’m so excited to have you here. It’s not everyone who actually runs a Super Bowl. Tell me a little about what you’re going to do in your job.
Sallie: Oh my gosh.
Leisa: It’s easy I know.
Sallie: Well the good news is I have a great team around me starting with our chairman Rick Campo, and then supported by of course Bob McNair, the Houston, Texans, but have a great staff. We’ve started out with the dirty dozen, so we’ve got 12 on our team now, and we’ll ramp up from there, but it’s really all things associated with the Super Bowl liaising with the NFL, and then certainly with our community partners, and sponsors, and so forth.
Leisa: And building the biggest Super Bowl ever to happen in the history of the world right?
Sallie: Well it’s going to be the best, because we’re here in Houston.
Leisa: Without a doubt. Thank you very much. There you have it; another extraordinary woman doing extraordinary things. I’m Leisa Holland-Nelson, president and cofounder of Content Active, Houston’s leading web and mobile design and development company. You can find me at Content Active.com, or follow me on Twitter at LH Nelson. We’ll be back again next week with another edition of Women Mean Business.
