Leisa: Hello, I’m Leisa Holland-Nelson and welcome to another edition of Women Mean Business, where we’re going to take you up close and personal with extraordinary women doing extraordinary things. My guest today is Stephanie Sherrodd, President and CEO of TDECU, your credit union. Stephanie, welcome to Women Mean Business.
Stephanie: Thank you for having me Leisa.
Leisa: You’ve been so successful, I know a lot of young, aspiring business women would love to know how you did it; could you share a little bit with us about your path to success and what your best advice for anyone would be?
Stephanie: Well I would say my best advice is jump in with both feet and be the person that has their hand raised. I know for me in my journey I was always willing to take on a project or something going on that maybe wasn’t even necessarily my regular job, but I was always wanting to get experience in other parts of the company and other parts of the business. And that’s really paid off for me in terms of knowing and understanding the organization that I work for with and also just gave me a lot of opportunity to see a lot of different situations that I wouldn’t have been able to otherwise.
Leisa: Thank you, that’s great, thank you. There you have it, extraordinary advice from an extraordinary woman. I’m Leisa Holland Nelson, President and Co-founder of ContentActive, Houston’s leading web and mobile design and development company.
