Women Mean Business – Ursula Hessenflow

Women Mean Business | Episode: 548 | Guests: Ursula Hessenflow | 0
Be open to life! Extraordinary advice from an extraordinary woman. Leisa Holland-Nelson interviews Ursula Hessenflow, co-founder and CEO of myLAB Box, where “Safe is Sexy.”

Leisa: Hello, I’m Leisa Holland Nelson and welcome to another edition of Women Mean Business, where we’re going to take you up close and personal with extraordinary women doing extraordinary things. My guest today is Ursula Hessenflow, the Co-founder and CEO of myLABbox, where safe is sexy. Welcome to Women Mean Business Ursula.

Ursula: Thanks for inviting me Leisa.

Leisa: You are a very young person yourself and normally I always like to know what advice you would give someone coming up in the world, but you really are someone coming up in the world even though you’ve established several entrepreneurial ventures; what advice do you give to fellow entrepreneurs when they ask you?

Ursula: I think first of all it’s to say that it doesn’t have to be a linear journey. I think it’s many paths lead to great ideas and I would just encourage fellow entrepreneurs or those that are looking into entrepreneurship just to really look at the problems they can solve in their world. And that to believe that because I majored in this or that, that’s the path I need to take, I think it’s all literally just about problem solving the problems that we find in the world.

Leisa: So be open to the opportunity that’s in front of you?

Ursula: Just be open to the opportunity that is in front of you and that you’re familiar with in your own life because that’s usually where great ideas start. It’s something that you relate to first of all and you’re passionate about solving. And that’s really the only ingredient.

Leisa: Thank you very much.

Ursula: Thank you.

Leisa: There you have it, extraordinary advice from another extraordinary woman. I’m Leisa Holland Nelson, President and Co-founder of ContentActive.com, Houston’s leading web and mobile design and development company. You can find me at ContentActive.com or follow me on Twitter @LHNelson. We’ll be back again next week with another edition of Women Mean Business.
